Fruit & veggie smoothie ~
3-4 cups of water (based on how thick or thin you like your smoothie)
*Organic is the best option whenever possible for all fruits & veggies*
also opt for for fruits & veggies that are in season & include a variety of colors
choose 2-3 fruits ~ blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, green apple & kiwi
choose 2-3 veggies ~ such as kale, spinach, beet greens, carrots, celery & cucumber

healthy fats to include ~ 1-2 TBSP of coconut cream, avocado, ground flax, chia or pumpkin seeds
* for a creamy smoothie replace half of the water with a nut milk
A strong blender is important to get all of the ingredients properly broken down to smoothie consistency. I have used a Vitamix for almost 20 years & swear by it! If I could only have 1 kitchen appliance it would be the Vitamix hands down!

Taco Salad ~
Seasoned lean ground turkey over a bed of greens topped with sliced cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, black beans & sweet potatoes. I rarely use dressing but will top this with organic cold pressed olive oil & salt & pepper.
